Terms & Privacy for Organizations
These documents apply to businesses, organizations, and groups that use Socialize for Organizations to put their places on the Socialize map, manage beacons, and send notifications to their followers. They are separate from the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the Socialize app, which continue to govern personal use of the app.
Terms of Service for Organizations #
Effective Date: October 24, 2026
These Terms of Service for Organizations ("Organization Terms") are a legally binding agreement between the business, organization, or group you represent ("Organization," "you," or "your") and DAB Innovation Group, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of the Socialize for Organizations portal and the features it provides (together, the "Portal"). By signing in to the Portal and accepting these Organization Terms, you agree to them on behalf of your Organization. Questions about these Organization Terms should be directed to support@dabinnovation.com.
1. Definitions
- Places are your Organization and any sub-organizations (such as branches, departments, or locations) that you create in the Portal, each with its own name, description, photo, location, hours, and contact details.
- Beacons are the sets of interests you assign to a Place so that app users who share those interests can find it.
- Notifications are the messages you send, or schedule, from a Place to that Place's followers.
- Followers are Socialize app users who have chosen to follow one of your Places.
- Your Content is everything you or your representatives submit through the Portal, including names, descriptions, photos, logos, locations, hours, phone numbers, links, beacon names, interests, and Notifications, in every language you provide.
2. Eligibility and Authority
- Authority: You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and that you are authorized to act for, and to bind, the Organization you represent. If you are not authorized, do not accept these Organization Terms or use the Portal.
- Accurate Information: You agree to keep your Organization's information accurate and current, including the location, hours, and contact details of each Place.
- Real Places Only: Each Place must be a real business, organization, group, branch, department, or location that you are authorized to represent. Sub-organizations must be genuine; you may not create them to multiply Notifications, inflate your presence on the map, or evade any limit or enforcement action.
- No Impersonation: You may not represent, or claim to be affiliated with, any person, business, or organization you are not authorized to represent.
3. Your Account
- Sign-In: You sign in to the Portal with a Google account. Your organization account is separate from any Socialize app account, even if both use the same Google account; neither can be used to access the other.
- Security: You are responsible for all activity under your organization account and for keeping access to the Google account you use secure. If more than one person needs access, you are responsible for who has it. Tell us promptly at support@dabinnovation.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
- Service Communications: We may contact you at the email address of the Google account you sign in with about your account, these Organization Terms, enforcement actions, and changes to the Portal.
4. Your Content
- You Own Your Content: As between you and us, your Organization retains all ownership rights in Your Content, including any trademarks, logos, and photos. These Organization Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to us.
- License to Us: You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, reformat, display, and transmit Your Content for the purpose of operating, providing, securing, and improving Socialize — for example, showing your Places and their details to app users, showing your Notifications to your Followers, and delivering Notifications through Apple's and Google's notification services. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, as described in the Privacy Policy for Organizations below, except for copies an app user's device has already received (such as a delivered Notification) and copies remaining in backups until they expire.
- Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights, licenses, and permissions needed to publish it and to grant the license above, and that Your Content, and our use of it as permitted by these Organization Terms, does not infringe or misappropriate anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Public Content: Your Places, their details, and your beacons' interests are shown to app users on the map, and Notifications are shown to your Followers on their devices. Treat everything you publish as public, and do not include confidential information or other people's personal information.
- Presentation: We may change the format of Your Content (for example, by resizing photos) and display it differently on different devices. The previews in the Portal are approximations.
5. Notifications and Anti-Spam
Followers choose to follow your Places and can stop at any time. To keep Notifications welcome, you agree that:
- Followers Only: Notifications go only to the Followers of the Place that sends them, and are delivered to all of them; the Portal does not let you select recipients by interest or other characteristics. You may not ask, pay, or incentivize anyone to follow a Place under false or misleading pretenses.
- Frequency Limits: Notifications may be sent and scheduled only as often as the Portal allows. We may change these limits at any time, and you may not attempt to circumvent them, including through additional accounts or sub-organizations.
- Relevant and Honest: Notifications must relate to the Place that sends them and must not be false, misleading, or deceptive — including fake urgency, misleading offers, bait-and-switch promotions, or disguised advertising for a third party.
- No Phishing or Harmful Links: Notifications and Place details may not attempt to collect passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information, and may not direct people to malware, phishing, or deceptive sites.
- Lawful Promotions: Any offer, contest, sweepstakes, or promotion you advertise must comply with applicable law, and you are solely responsible for fulfilling it.
- Delivery Is Not Guaranteed: Notifications depend on Followers' device settings, connectivity, and third-party notification services. Notifications may expire if they cannot be delivered, and we do not guarantee that any Notification will be delivered or seen.
6. Acceptable Use
Socialize is a community for adults 18 and older. You may not use the Portal to publish, promote, or link to content that:
- is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity, including the sale of illegal goods or services;
- promotes regulated goods or services (such as alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, firearms, or gambling) in violation of the law of any place where it is shown, or without any licenses that law requires;
- is sexually explicit, or exploits or endangers minors in any way;
- harasses, threatens, bullies, or incites violence against any person or group, or promotes hatred or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected characteristic;
- infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights, or discloses another person's personal information;
- promotes pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing recruitment, get-rich-quick schemes, or other deceptive financial offers; or
- is spam, or is otherwise false, misleading, or deceptive.
7. Fair Use and Technical Limits
The Portal is provided for managing your own Places through its web interface. You agree not to:
- access the Portal through automated means (such as bots, scripts, or scrapers), or use it in a way that exceeds reasonable request volumes or the rate limits we apply;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature, rate limit, frequency limit, or access restriction;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Socialize, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits;
- interfere with or disrupt the Portal, the Socialize app, or the servers and networks behind them, or upload viruses or other malicious code;
- create Places in bulk, at locations where you have no genuine presence, or for the purpose of occupying areas of the map; or
- resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Portal to third parties, except that you may allow your own employees and authorized agents to manage your account on your behalf.
Use the Portal's address search only to locate your own Places.
8. Audience Statistics and Respect for App Users
- Audience Statistics: The Portal may show you aggregated, de-identified statistics about your Followers and Notifications, such as how many people follow each Place, how many read each language, how many share an interest, and how often Notifications are opened ("Audience Statistics"). Audience Statistics never identify individual app users. To protect their anonymity, we may estimate, round, or withhold Audience Statistics, including for small audiences, and we may exclude interests that could reveal sensitive information. We do not guarantee that Audience Statistics are complete or accurate.
- Permitted Use: You may use Audience Statistics only to understand your audience and to improve the Places and Notifications you offer through Socialize. You may not sell, license, or disclose Audience Statistics to third parties, other than service providers acting on your behalf under the same restrictions.
- No Re-Identification: You agree not to attempt to identify, track, locate, or contact individual app users through Socialize, including by re-identifying anyone from Audience Statistics or by combining information from Socialize with other information.
- No Discrimination: You may not use Socialize to exclude or target people based on a protected characteristic in violation of applicable law.
9. Moderation and Enforcement
- Reports: App users can report a Place from its card in the app. We may review reports and Your Content at our discretion.
- Our Actions: If we believe Your Content or your use of the Portal violates these Organization Terms or the law, or creates risk for app users, us, or others, we may, without prior notice where reasonably necessary: remove or hide Your Content; cancel scheduled Notifications; hide your Places from the map; limit features; or suspend or terminate your organization account. Suspension signs you out of the Portal, hides your Places, and cancels your scheduled Notifications.
- Questions About Actions: We may, but are not obligated to, notify you of actions we take. If you believe we made a mistake, you may contact support@dabinnovation.com.
- No Obligation to Monitor: We are not obligated to monitor Your Content, and our decision not to act in one case does not waive our right to act in another.
10. Fees and Paid Features
Some features of the Portal may be available only with a paid subscription or other payment. Prices, billing terms, and the features included will be presented to you before you purchase, and additional terms may apply. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change prices, the features included in any paid offering, and which features require payment.
11. Our Intellectual Property and Third-Party Services
- Our Property: Except for Your Content and third-party components, Socialize, the Portal, and all related code, design, logos, and features are the exclusive intellectual property of DAB Innovation Group, LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Portal for its intended purpose during the term of these Organization Terms.
- Feedback: If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.
- Third-Party Services: The Portal relies on third-party services, including Google sign-in, map data and address search from OpenStreetMap contributors (provided under the Open Database License), and Apple's and Google's notification services. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms. "Google," "Google Maps," and "Apple" are trademarks of their respective owners; their use here is for interoperability only and does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.
12. Term, Deletion, and Termination
- Deleting Your Account: You may stop using the Portal at any time and delete your organization account from the Account page. Deletion permanently removes your Places, beacons, photos, and Notifications; your Places stop appearing in the app; your Followers stop following them; and scheduled Notifications are canceled. Notifications already delivered to Followers' devices cannot be recalled.
- Termination by Us: To the extent permitted by law, we may suspend or terminate your access, or modify or discontinue the Portal or any part of it, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice.
- Survival: Sections 4 (Your Responsibility), 8 (Permitted Use and No Re-Identification), 10 (for amounts owed), 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 survive termination.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PORTAL IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DAB INNOVATION GROUP, LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY NUMBER OF FOLLOWERS, ANY VISIBILITY ON THE MAP, THE DELIVERY OF ANY NOTIFICATION, OR THAT THE PORTAL WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY, ITS MANAGING MEMBER, OR ITS OFFICERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PORTAL OR THESE ORGANIZATION TERMS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PORTAL OR THESE ORGANIZATION TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE PORTAL IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THAT SUCH LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, IN WHICH CASE OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THAT LAW PERMITS.
15. Indemnification
Your Organization will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DAB Innovation Group, LLC, its Managing Member, officers, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to Your Content, your Notifications and any offers in them, your use of the Portal, or your violation of these Organization Terms or of any law or third-party right.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Organization Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Organization Terms or the Portal shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Texas, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us to try to resolve the dispute informally.
17. General
- Changes: We may modify these Organization Terms at any time by posting the updated version with a new effective date. When we do, you will be asked to accept the updated Organization Terms in the Portal by the date shown there. Until you accept them, if that date has passed, your Places may be hidden from the app, your scheduled Notifications may be canceled, and you may be unable to make changes in the Portal; you may still review the updated Organization Terms, accept them, or delete your account. Continued use of the Portal after accepting constitutes acceptance of the updated Organization Terms.
- Entire Agreement: These Organization Terms and the Privacy Policy for Organizations are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Portal, and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Organization Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Severability and Waiver: If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Relationship: Nothing in these Organization Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship.
- Language: These Organization Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
Privacy Policy for Organizations #
Effective Date: October 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy for Organizations explains how DAB Innovation Group, LLC collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Socialize for Organizations portal (the "Portal") on behalf of a business, organization, or group. It covers the people who sign in to the Portal and the information they submit. How we handle the personal information of Socialize app users, including your Followers, is described in the app's Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.
Information We Collect
- Sign-In Information: You sign in with Google. We receive and store your Google account's unique identifier and email address. We never receive your Google password. We also record which version of these terms you accepted and when.
- Session Information: When you sign in, we store session information that keeps you signed in and protects your requests.
- Language Preference: If you choose a language in the Portal, we remember it in a cookie.
- Your Content: The names, descriptions, photos, locations, hours, phone numbers, links, beacon names, interests, and Notifications you submit, in each language you provide, and when Notifications are scheduled and sent. This is business information, but it may include personal information if, for example, your business is a sole proprietorship or a photo shows a person.
- Location of Your Places: We store the map location you set for each Place. If you use "Use my location," your browser provides your current position to the Portal page to place the pin; we store only the location you save.
- Address Searches: Address searches are kept only briefly and are not stored with your account.
- Reports: Reports that app users submit about your Places, including the reason they give.
- Technical Information: Like most web services, our servers receive your IP address and browser information with each request. We use them to deliver the Portal, apply rate limits, and protect against abuse.
How We Use Information
- To provide the Portal and show your Places, their details, and your beacons' interests to app users, in the languages you provide.
- To deliver your Notifications to your Followers, in each Follower's language, and to show you aggregate counts of your Followers and of how many will receive each language.
- To keep the Portal secure, including authenticating you and preventing fraud and abuse.
- To review reports, moderate content, and enforce the Terms of Service for Organizations.
- To contact you about your account, enforcement actions, and changes to the Portal or these documents.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal process.
What App Users See
Your Places are shown on the Socialize map to app users nearby, and to their Followers wherever they are, with their names, descriptions, photos, hours, contact details, links, and interests. Notifications are shown on your Followers' devices. Your email address and Google identifier are never shown to app users. In the other direction, the Portal shows you only aggregated, de-identified statistics about your Followers and Notifications (described in Section 8 of the Terms of Service for Organizations) — never who your Followers are or who reported a Place.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only as follows:
- Google Sign-In: Google processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy, and we exchange the information needed to complete it.
- Notification Delivery: To deliver a Notification, we send its title, its text, and the Place's name to Apple's or Google's push notification service, which delivers it to your Followers' devices. Unlike private chat messages in the app, Notifications are not end-to-end encrypted: they are written for your Followers to read.
- Maps and Address Search: Address searches are sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim, operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Maps in the Portal are loaded by your browser from OpenStreetMap's servers, which receive your IP address and browser information under the OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy.
- Infrastructure Providers: We rely on cloud hosting providers in the United States, which process data strictly on our behalf under contractual obligations and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or us.
- Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Cookies
The Portal uses only cookies that are necessary for it to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and, if you choose a language, a cookie that remembers it. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Google sets its own cookies during sign-in, under its privacy policy.
Data Retention
- Account and Content: We keep your organization account and Your Content while your account exists. When you replace or remove a photo, language, Place, or beacon, it is deleted.
- Notifications: We keep a record of your Notifications — their text, schedule, status, and the number of Followers they reached — so you can see your history in the Portal, until you delete the Place that sent them or your account.
- Sessions: Sessions end when they expire or when you sign out.
- Address Searches: Address searches are kept only briefly and are not stored with your account.
- Reports: Reports about a Place are kept while that Place exists, to support moderation.
- Server Logs: Our server logs record technical events, such as which features were used and errors, without your account information or Your Content.
- Account Deletion: When you delete your organization account from the Account page, we permanently delete your account, sessions, Places, photos, beacons, Notifications, and the reports about your Places. We keep backups only to restore the service after a failure, for no more than 30 days, so copies may remain in them until they expire. Notifications already delivered to Followers' devices remain on those devices.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.
International Data Transfers
DAB Innovation Group, LLC is headquartered and operates in the United States, and the Portal's data is stored and processed on servers in the United States. Data protection laws there may differ from those in your country. Where the law requires it for cross-border transfers, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, DAB Innovation Group, LLC is the data controller for the personal information described here, and we process it on these bases: performance of a contract (providing the Portal under the Terms of Service for Organizations, including your account, Places, and Notifications); legitimate interests (keeping the Portal secure, preventing abuse, and moderating content, balanced against your rights); and compliance with legal obligations.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live — including the EEA, the UK, Canada, Mexico, and certain U.S. states — you may have rights over your personal information, such as the following, subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law:
- Access and Portability: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about your organization account.
- Correction: You can edit Your Content at any time in the Portal, or ask us to correct other information.
- Deletion: You can delete your organization account at any time from the Account page, or ask us to delete it.
- Objection and Restriction: You can object to or ask us to restrict certain processing. Because the Portal cannot work without your sign-in information and Your Content, objecting to that processing may require deleting your account.
To exercise these rights, contact privacy@dabinnovation.com. We will verify your request against the Google account you sign in with and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. We do not discriminate against you for exercising rights you have under applicable law.
Children
The Portal is intended for adults acting for businesses, organizations, and groups. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them through the Portal.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy for Organizations by posting the updated version with a new effective date. Where required by law, we will notify you of material changes.
